Pet Owls & Harry Potter Fans...

People go to extreme measures to imitate their favorite Pop culture characters... And Harry Potter fans are no different. Other then the cheesy costumes and accents, some fans even adopted pet owls after seeing the movies or reading the books. But now with the series being old news, fans have lost their interest for their feathered friends and released them into the wild - apparently anywhere in the UK. After the influx of birds, it was possible that the predatory birds could have damaging effects on local ecosystems and other bird populations. So, rescue organizations are collecting the birds that flooded the UK...It's also not only the birds that are paying the price; anyone caught releasing an owl into the wild can face up to 6 months in jail and a fine of over $7,000. Potter fans who no longer want or aren't able to keep they bird friends are taking birds to a wildlife sanctuary, rather the letting them "accidently" fly out the window.

Avengers Is a Hit

The Avengers smashed up the domestic revenue record with a $200.3 million debut. It's by far the biggest opening ever. Shooting past the previous record of $169.2 million for the debut of last year's "Harry Potter" finale. "The Avengers" added $151.5 million overseas over the weekend to bring its total to $441.5 million since it began opening internationally a week earlier. If distributor Disney's domestic estimate Sunday holds when the final weekend count is released Monday, "The Avengers" would be the first movie ever to haul in $200 million in a single weekend.

Horrific Dentist Appoinment

Word of advice: Don't date your dentist. A Polish woman is facing three years in prison after she removed all of her ex-boyfriend's teeth during dental surgery just days after their breakup.

"I tried to be professional and detach myself from my emotions," Anna Mackowiak, 34, told the Austrian Times. "But when I saw him lying there I just thought, "What a bastard' and decided to take all his teeth out.

Marek Olszewski, 45, showed up at the dentist office complaining of a toothache just days after he broke up with her. She then gave him a "heavy dose" of anesthetic, locked the door and began to remove all of his teeth, one at a time.

"I know something was wrong because when I woke up I couldn't feel any teeth and my jaw was strapped up with bandages," Olszewski said. "She told me my mouth was numb and I wouldn't be able to feel anything for a while and that the bandage was there to protect the gums, but that I would need to see a specialist," he said. "I didn't have any reason to doubt her, I meant I thought she was a professional."

Adding to his unfortunate and cruel situation, Olszewski said his new girlfriend had already left over his now toothless appearance.

"And I'm going to have to pay a fortune on getting indents or something," he said.

Careful who you date!

Feel Watched?

Ever feel like you're being spied on? Well, ya probably are! According to a computer security company, 61% of parental units in the U.S. secretly spy on their children via Facebook. Study shows that moms and dads in the U.S. are becoming much more aware of their kids' online presence. Approximately 72% of parents are "friends" with their teenagers, and 6 out of 10 admit to spying on their kids without them knowing. Going further on that, 44% of parents admit to secretly accessing their teen's account. Although, they have reasons for their creeping. Turns out that some parents have good reason to worry - 21%of parents have found abusive or explicit messages on their teen's social profile. Another 14% found similar messages on their teen's phone... So be careful teens! Unless what you're doing is illegal. Than you deserve it I guess.

Boy at School says his Mom and Sister are dead at home

The man had a head injury and wasn't immediately thought to be a suspect or charged. Police currently can't identify how or by who the slayings occurred. "I walked out after the Iowa caucus victory and said 'game on'," Santorum said in Gettysburg. "I know a lot of folks are going to write - maybe even those at the White House - 'game over.' Dooms Day, Sooner than we thought

Our soon to be Earth, crumbling away.
Recent discoveries made by scientists have assured us that the end of our world will happen. The date was pushed up to September 21st, 2012. In 2008 NASA predicted a sharp increase in the number of sunspots and solar flares for 2012, causing electrical failures and satellite disruptions. All of it added up to the catastrophe yet to come, and now to come sooner than we thought. Through the months a polar reversal will cause the north to become the south and the sun to rise in the west. Shattering earthquakes, massive tidal waves and simultaneous volcanic eruptions will follow. These things will happen sporadically throughout our summer. Finally, in early September clouds of volcanic dust will block out our sun for an unknown amount of time. Thousands of people will and have start preparing for this world-wide disaster. Yet some continue to laugh at what sounds like the rambling of a madman. Nevertheless, the end will soon arrive.

Scary RIGHT?? April Fools you fool.

Pimp's Android Pattern Lock too hard for FBI

Doubtful about your Android's pattern lock ability to keep safe the contents of your phone? Well, recently it has been proven that it's harder then it seems, even for the FBI. The feds has to serve Google a warrant to unlock the phone of a pimp suspected of violating his parole. The pimp, Dante Dears, was known to have a business in San Diego named "Pimpin' Hoes Daily" (PHD). He was locked up in 2005. When he got out in 2009, authorities tethered him to a GPS monitor so he couldn't continue what he used to do. But the pimp found a way to get around it. He used an Android phone to run his business, just from sitting at home. A source said they saw him using his phone more than six hours at a time at his house. FBI, suspected he continued the prostitution ring. Dears denied the phone was his and refused to draw the pattern, it had to go through Android's security measure, even though his parole conditions said he couldn't lock any of his digital files.

Chase Cell Phone, Get Stuck in Trash Chute

A U.S. teenager from Atlanta had to be rescued from an apartment complex trash chute after she accidently threw away her cell phone and got stuck while she tried to get it back, police said. The 19-year old woman ordered fast food from a restaurant early on Sunday and mistakenly dropped her cell phone in the useless food bag. After she threw the bag into the trash chute at the apartment complex she realized her phone wasn't in her pocket. So she retraces her steps and realizes where her phone had gone. She then got stuck attempting to reach for the back. Her friends called the police, and fire fighters dislodged her within 10 minutes by moving a dumpster at the end of the chute and pulling her out. Local police officer, Tim Fecht said "I've heard of people getting stuck while cleaning the chutes, but taking a swan dive, like in the movies, that's pretty rare," Fecht  said. He said the woman was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Parents Forget Daughter at Chuck E. Cheese's

Parents of a 3-year old girl named Harmony, forgot the little one at the themed restaurant Chuck E. Cheese. They had some explaining to do after unknowingly leaving her there, and later see her picture on the evening news. She was left behind at the restaurant in Bel Air, after attending a large party that her parents took her to. According to a report from the Harford County Sheriff's Office, both of the girls parents, who share Harmony's custody, assumed the she had gone home with other relatives. A restaurant manager alerted the police around 8 P.M. that a girl had been left alone after Harmony told a staff member that she was thirsty. Since they were unable to find her parents, the deputies asked a local news media to put the child's picture on the evening news. At around 11 P.M. Harmony's photo showed up on the newscast, multiple phone calls were received at the Sheriff's office, including a call from Harmony's parents. After officers determined that Harmony's abandonment was unintentional and an accident. Child Services released her to her mother, with no charges expected to be filed.

Maryland's Governor Plans To Sign Same-sex Marriage Bill

Maryland's governor, Martin O'Malley plans to sign a bill on Thursday, legalizing same-sex marriage, while those with different opinions on the matter were making plans to challenge the new law at the ballot box. The legislation, making Maryland the eighth state in the United States to legalize gay and lesbian marriages, heads to the governor's desk for his signature at a ceremony at 5 p.m. this Thursday. While still a disagreement amoung many, same-sex marriage has been gaining acceptance nationally in recent weeks. Same-sex couples can marry in the District of Columbia, and in six states - Massachusetts, Iowa, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and New York. Washington is likely to join the list in June. The governor's spokeswoman Takirra Winfield said the effort was not expected. "The governor has faith in the people of out state," she said, adding that the governor believes voters will "seek to take the best action that will protect equality for all."

Samuel L. Jackson Voted For Obama Because Of His Skin Color

Famous Hollywood actor, Samuel L. Jackson, only voted for President Barack Obama because of his skin color! Jackson revealed this fact in an obscene interview in the March issue of Ebony magazine.

"I voted for Barack because he was black. 'Cuz that's why other folks vote for other people - because they look like them," Jackson said. "That's American politics, pure and simple. [Obama's] message didn't mean sh*t to me. In the end, he's a politician. I just hoped he would do some of what he said he was gonna do."

According to the New York Post, Jackson frequently dropped the N-word during the entire interview.

"When it comes down to it, they wouldn't have elected a [bleep]," Jackson said. "Because, what's a [bleep]? A [bleep] is scary. Obama isn't scary at all. [Bleeps] don't have beers at the White House. [Bleeps] don't let some white dude, while you in the middle of a speech, call [him] a liar" -- a reference to Republican Joe Wilson's "You lie!" outburst during a speech given by the President. Jackson continued, "A [bleep] would have stopped the meeting right there and said, 'Who the [bleep] said that?' I hope Obama gets scary in the next four years, 'cuz he ain't gotta worry about getting re-elected." Defending his obscene vocabulary and constant use of N-word, Jackson stated that it "became a part of my vocabulary when I was born."

"Because it was used on me in my house, often... I know the word [bleep] as an admonishment, an endearment, a criticism and an invective. So I use it; I don't run from it. I don't have an issue with it or who says it. I always put it in the context of how it was used on me," he said. Jackson earlier made political headlines, when he agreed with Morgan Freeman's opinion about how the Tea Party was "racist".

"It's pretty obvious what they are," Jackson said to New York Magazine. "The division of the country is not about the government having too much power. I think everything right now is geared toward getting that guy  out of office, whatever that means." Jackson continued saying, "It's not politics. It is not economics. It all boils down to pretty much race. It is a shame."

Family Billed $11k for Streaming Movies!

When the Gibson family of Weyburn, Canada returned home from a family vacation in Arizona, they found a $10,600 bill from their Internet provider - all because they let young sons, Jayden and Sawyer, stream movies on Netflix without realizing there was roaming charges.
"The kids were getting bored," said father Jason Gibson, being interviewed by CBC. Apparently he had an air card plugged into his laptop. And to keep kids from yelling and whining, he let them download "Shrek," "Curious George," and others, through cellular networks. The only problem: when Jayden and Sawyer watched "Spider-Man," they downloaded about 400 megabytes of movie - while it was $6 per megabyte, because they were roaming, or out of the country. Grandfather, John, was the first to see the massive bill. But, this still isn't the largest cell phone bill on the list. It's definitely important that a customer understands their plan well, so mishaps like this don't occur. Their phone company was generous enough to reduce the Gibson's bill by $9,600 - but the family still got the charge of $1,000. Jason said he would pay the reduced bill, but we wasn't too happy about it. A lesson well learned to the Gibson Family.

School Bans Boots!

Starting Monday a school in Philadelphia is not allowing the wearing of boots, including the recently popular Ugg brand, to middle school classes because students have been hiding cellular devices in their shoes, according to district director of community relation John Armato.
"Cell phones are a problem for obvious reasons," Armato said.

Superintendent reed Lindley said the school principal asked for the banning of fuzzy boots "because of the classroom disruptions that are resulting from ringing cell phones." Students can definitely avoid getting caught by the school's faculty by wearing boots that come up high on the leg and have a snug fit. But, the more unfortunate and less careful, if caught doing so for the first time will get detention, and any other violations after that include two detentions, following confiscation of the phone, Armato said.

A middle school parent, Adrienne Beyer, finds the banning way too extreme.

"I understand there may be a handful of kids that shove cell phones down their boots, but why does the handful have to ruin it for the other 600 students? But, I said to my daughter, 'It's a rule and we're going to follow it,'" Beyer said.

Steven Tyler Hits On 15 Year Old?...

The face of American Idol judge, Steven

Tyler, after hitting on a 15 year old girl

in front of her family and friends. LOL.

The first episode of American Idol aired on Wednesday in Savannah, Georgia with a shockingly good start off to the season, compared to previous years. But it was overshadowed by 63-year-old judge, Steven Tyler, hitting on 15-year-old Shannon Magrane in front of her family and friends! It started with a simple joke with the ex-hurler about the weather in Boston during the summer, saying it was "hot, humid, and happening-just like your daughter", leading the room to become awkwardly silent. Tyler definitely had no problem showing his appreciation towards the talented singer! Nevertheless, the young contestant's performance wowed the judges. She sang "Something's Got A Hold On Me" by Etta Jones. So we'll be keeping an eye on Shannon, just not in the way Tyler implied above. :P

Children in Mexico: Criminals or Victims?

A 14-year-old boy was found guilty last year of torturing and beheading at least four people for the South Pacific drug cartel.
A 14 year old boy found guilty of being
involved in the South Pacific drug cartel.
About 30,000 children in Mexico are, or have been involved in some sort of organized crime. The Child Rights Network in Mexico says that many of the children committing these crimes did it because of death threats or because of economic and social needs. The most well known case involved a 14-year-old boy, who they would call "El Ponchis" ("The Cloak"). He was found guilty of killing and torturing people for the South Pacific drug cartel. The boy was sentences to three years in a correctional facility. A month afterthis happened, a 13-year-old girl was captured in the state of Jalisco and accused for being in the Zetas drug cartel. Authorities said the girl was making 8,000 pesos a month. Which comes to about $800. All of this money for being a lookout. But just as children have been involved in such crimes, they have been victims as well. In the past five years, from December 2006 to December 2011 at least 1,118 children from armed clashes. The U.N. Committee on the Right of the Child confirmed that until last year, 1,000 minors have died in acts that were linked to organized crimes.
