Maryland's Governor Plans To Sign Same-sex Marriage Bill

Maryland's governor, Martin O'Malley plans to sign a bill on Thursday, legalizing same-sex marriage, while those with different opinions on the matter were making plans to challenge the new law at the ballot box. The legislation, making Maryland the eighth state in the United States to legalize gay and lesbian marriages, heads to the governor's desk for his signature at a ceremony at 5 p.m. this Thursday. While still a disagreement amoung many, same-sex marriage has been gaining acceptance nationally in recent weeks. Same-sex couples can marry in the District of Columbia, and in six states - Massachusetts, Iowa, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and New York. Washington is likely to join the list in June. The governor's spokeswoman Takirra Winfield said the effort was not expected. "The governor has faith in the people of out state," she said, adding that the governor believes voters will "seek to take the best action that will protect equality for all."

Samuel L. Jackson Voted For Obama Because Of His Skin Color

Famous Hollywood actor, Samuel L. Jackson, only voted for President Barack Obama because of his skin color! Jackson revealed this fact in an obscene interview in the March issue of Ebony magazine.

"I voted for Barack because he was black. 'Cuz that's why other folks vote for other people - because they look like them," Jackson said. "That's American politics, pure and simple. [Obama's] message didn't mean sh*t to me. In the end, he's a politician. I just hoped he would do some of what he said he was gonna do."

According to the New York Post, Jackson frequently dropped the N-word during the entire interview.

"When it comes down to it, they wouldn't have elected a [bleep]," Jackson said. "Because, what's a [bleep]? A [bleep] is scary. Obama isn't scary at all. [Bleeps] don't have beers at the White House. [Bleeps] don't let some white dude, while you in the middle of a speech, call [him] a liar" -- a reference to Republican Joe Wilson's "You lie!" outburst during a speech given by the President. Jackson continued, "A [bleep] would have stopped the meeting right there and said, 'Who the [bleep] said that?' I hope Obama gets scary in the next four years, 'cuz he ain't gotta worry about getting re-elected." Defending his obscene vocabulary and constant use of N-word, Jackson stated that it "became a part of my vocabulary when I was born."

"Because it was used on me in my house, often... I know the word [bleep] as an admonishment, an endearment, a criticism and an invective. So I use it; I don't run from it. I don't have an issue with it or who says it. I always put it in the context of how it was used on me," he said. Jackson earlier made political headlines, when he agreed with Morgan Freeman's opinion about how the Tea Party was "racist".

"It's pretty obvious what they are," Jackson said to New York Magazine. "The division of the country is not about the government having too much power. I think everything right now is geared toward getting that guy  out of office, whatever that means." Jackson continued saying, "It's not politics. It is not economics. It all boils down to pretty much race. It is a shame."

Family Billed $11k for Streaming Movies!

When the Gibson family of Weyburn, Canada returned home from a family vacation in Arizona, they found a $10,600 bill from their Internet provider - all because they let young sons, Jayden and Sawyer, stream movies on Netflix without realizing there was roaming charges.
"The kids were getting bored," said father Jason Gibson, being interviewed by CBC. Apparently he had an air card plugged into his laptop. And to keep kids from yelling and whining, he let them download "Shrek," "Curious George," and others, through cellular networks. The only problem: when Jayden and Sawyer watched "Spider-Man," they downloaded about 400 megabytes of movie - while it was $6 per megabyte, because they were roaming, or out of the country. Grandfather, John, was the first to see the massive bill. But, this still isn't the largest cell phone bill on the list. It's definitely important that a customer understands their plan well, so mishaps like this don't occur. Their phone company was generous enough to reduce the Gibson's bill by $9,600 - but the family still got the charge of $1,000. Jason said he would pay the reduced bill, but we wasn't too happy about it. A lesson well learned to the Gibson Family.
